Can Your Teen Build An EV Like This?

Inspiring piece over at Gas 2.0 on how several teen students built amazing eco vehicles powered by everything from electric to soy.

Have a look at the rides below, these aren’t wimpy 30 mile an hour cars, these are sports monsters that get up to 50 miles per gallon and reach 0-60 in four seconds. Wowza!

It might be time to get junior into mechanic class. And fast.

Car bought off eBay and turned all-electric by Texas teen. Runs on batteries and an electric motor.

Electric plugin truck built by Alaskan teen. Runs on electric motor.

Soybean-powered sports car built by a West Philly auto-shop class of five teen students. This one gets the 50 mpg and goes from zero to sixty in…four seconds. Zoom zoom!!!
