Canadian Environment Awards Shortlist
I don’t know how many of you knew this, but I’m a Canuck. And proud of it! The short list of nominees for the Canadian Environment Awards was announced today. These awards are sponsored by Shell Canada and are awarded at four levels, each celebrating a different type of contribution to environmental activism: Community Awards, Ideas for Life Award, Citation of Lifetime Achievement and the Green Team Challenge.
The Community Awards are the focal of this project. Currently there are 18 nominees in six different categories: Climate Change, Conservation, Environmental Health, Environmental Learning, Restoration & Rehabilitation and Sustainable
Living.
All the nominees profiles can be found at the Canadian Geographic website.
The winners will be announced by Shell Canada during Canadian Environment Week, which runs from June 3-9.
