Cardboard tubes for lighting

by David Allen on Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

Now there are many businesses that have a lot of these cardboard tubes left over from products that they have used, like carpet and other flooring companies, so what exactly can they do with those leftover cardboard tubes?

Well to some people the answer is obvious, design and build a fantastic lamp shade, this one for instance covers those fluorescent lights from view below, which is a great idea, the direct light is cut down and the shape and size of the lamp shade, will look really cool too.

    Hi,

I would like to include your cardboard tube light shade on an upcoming post on my blog ecopractical.blogspot.com.

I'm assembling a list of cardboard ideas and yours is quite unique. Would that be alright? How would you like to be credited?

What's the effect of the cardboard tube light shade?
