Cleaning without chemicals
Doing the clothes wash can hardly be classified as an eco friendly practice, but obviously this sort of thing needs to go on, otherwise we would be going around with some really bad smelling clothes and then everyone would be complaining.
But there are alternatives, eco friendly ways of removing stains not just cleaning, these tips can work for all manner of stains, there is a complete list on the EcoStudio page, but here is an example:
Chewing gum - Place the article in a plastic bag, then put it in the freezer for 2 to 3 hours. Scrape off the hardened gum with a knife. Sponge with eucalyptus oil to remove all traces of the gum.
