Cost and Pricing for Eco-Friendly Considerations

Green Demand and Green Supply

We are all going green and looking for supposedly better products that can help save the environment. We get a lot of them today. We read them on newspapers, run into them at websites and even get some unsolicited email for certain promotions. But the thing is, are they truly green compliant and worth every penny.

You have to note this sometime; Are green products really supposed to cost that much? Some may view is as a revenue-generating opportunity while others may say otherwise. But think about it. It is just a common law of demand and supply. With high demand for green products which are obviously low in supplies, the tendency is to price them heftily to minimize demand. But given the circumstances that green products are hard to find, there seems to be no telling when there will be a resolution to price competitiveness for green products and green gadgets today.

(Source) Consumers realise not every high end tech gadget can yet aspire to Hippy Shopper like credentials, so please don’t try and fool us- we won’t respect you for it, and if you’re lying to us, well then you clearly don’t respect us. And that doth not a happy partnership make.
