Do You Still Use Styrofoams?

by Brian Yalung on Sunday, May 20th, 2007

Styrofoam PlatesMost of us are exposed towards turning to the use of Styrofoam ware for food containers in packed meals and even drinking coffee in the usual Styrofoam coffee cups in office or at certain establishment. We were also oriented way before of the effects that Styrofoam will have on our Ozone layer if they would be burned. Burning some materials has been the resort of most people to ensure that garbage and wastes are properly disposed without much worry from seeing them pile up into stacks of garbage, a problem we all have today.

But is it worth to trade garbage space in lieu of defecting ozone layers? We feel it everyday with the difference in climate and shifts we experience. The sun’s rays have become ever so harmful and yet we continue doing the thing that adds to wrecking our protective layer shield.

If there is one thing we should remember, early practices and warnings are still in effect today. They will still have their harmful effects and Styrofoam will continue to do so. Hopefully we will wise up and do our part to start saving what is left from our ozone layers to date.

Here is a good article to read on for a better overview:
