Drivers Pick Green Cars Over Fantasy Rides
A new report based on a survey of over 13,000 city dwellers says that green vehicles are fast becoming the must have mode of transportation. The survey covered no less than eighteen different countries as far apart as China and the US, looking for attitudes moving towards green transport.
Amazingly over a third of the respondents were very much in favor of green autos, public transportation, cycling and even walking to get around and save the planet. Many also said that they felt that owning a gas-guzzler was not very cool and showed a lack of care for the planet.
In a further twist the pollsters asked, “If given the choice would people select a dream car like a Ferrari or a green auto like a Toyota Prius?”. Over 40% voted for green transportation over a fantasy car.
Many respondents went on to say that in fact a green vehicle was their fantasy car at the moment, but that they’re relatively expensive.
