A new school is in the works for students in Ajman, India that is meant to be eco friendly as it is educational.
The school is actually a huge 50,000 square foot farm where students will learn all about planting trees, fruits, plants and vegetables. They will also sell the produce they cultivate to benefit various non-profit charities. The school named (Habitat Private School) is slated to open next year – April 2014.
Habitat School will also offer day boarding facilities and will initially enrol students up to Grade 8. It will accommodate 6,000 students, once all the grades are operational in phases. The school also promises transportation for students from places in Dubai such as Rashidiya, Qusais, Muhaisnah as well as Al Nahda in Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain.
