		<description>The default standby mode is usually set in the system bios and not in your control panel. Windows and other operating systems will go into whatever standby mode is set as the default in the bios (level 1).  Level 3 isn&#039;t usually default because standby mode has never been perfect and the occasional hangups and freezes that can occur with level 3 are usually not considered worth the gain by a computer manufacturer. They would rather it draw a little more juice than freeze up and generate support calls.</description>
