Eco friendly Beer bricks
Old beer and wine bottles have been used for small parts of buildings, especially in building that are built from recycled or eco friendly materials.
Well here a brewery Heineken was well ahead of any eco friendly or green group. These beer bricks came about when Heineken was visiting the Caribbean islands, he saw how there was a problem with discarded bottles on the beaches, yet there was a substantial lack of building supplies. He could alleviate both problems in one hit, by introducing the beer brick.
However for one reason of another this idea never came into fruition with only 10,000 beer bricks being made. Like many innovators Heineken must have just been too far ahead for his own good.
