Eco-Friendly Ganesha Idols
For each religion or group, there will be something that brings us to some form of worship. As far as India is concerned, it all points to these Ganesha idols which have their own versions in different forms and types of worship.
But while that is a given, the issue of what materials are used comes into mind. And now, it seems that India is employing some form of eco-friendly materials by using Alum. Apparently this has something to do when these Ganesha idols are immersed in water. With Alum, they are not only cheaper but dissolve faster. Even vegetable dyes used for these idols are eco-friendly.
With price rise in the market and recession hitting hard, we do not know if the eco-friendly Ganesha idols would be a real hit. But looks like we have technology getting into rituals as well.
