DHL Uses Eco-friendly Bags
Couriers and packages need to be delivered to various places and normally, the standard of plastic bags have become a cause for concern for eco-friendly standards. DHL, a leading logistics and express courier service has taken this issue by heart and has started to employ the use of eco-friendly courier bags.
These new bags are biodegradable and shall be used in lieu of the traditional plastic bags across their MENA operations.
The new bags are not only stronger but are also fully reusable and recyclable and can degrade in as little as two years, leaving behind just natural elements: water, carbon dioxide and biomass. Conventional plastic bags, on the other hand, can take up to one thousand years to degrade; increasing landfill volume and contributing to the hazardous build-up of methane in landfill sites.
