Fifty Per Cent Of US Workers Leave PCs On
Around a couple of years ago, it was found that the cost of workers leaving their computers on when they left work was costing US businesses around $1.7 billion per year in energy that is simply wasted. But instead of getting better, the amount of wasted energy has now risen to $2.8 billion according to a report by 1e.com.
This is a problem that could easily be sorted, by companies ensuring that their staff simply shut down their computers when they leave yet half of employees are guilty of doing this according to the survey. But at the same time sixty per cent of US employees think that their employers should be doing more to reduce the amount of energy that they using.
