For you next laptop, why not Buy Green.

As the environmental movement moves ahead full steam, there are more and more companies, providers, and manufacturers looking at ways to build, create, and institute more eco friendly products in their market lines. Computer makers are joining forces with EPEAT (Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool) to make popular electronics green.

At present their is one retailer that showcases (registered as) green desktops, laptops, and monitors for individual consumers, which is buy.com, the EPEAT has a set criteria in place to determine what is and is not an earth friendly computer. They state that they “rate products in three tiers of environmental performance Bronze, Silver, and Gold and according to 51 total environmental criteria: 23 required criteria and 28 optional criteria”.

Wouldn’t you just love to get your hands on that eco-friendly Sony Vaio laptop listed on the buy.com website? That is a gorgeuos piece of electronica. , , , , , , , , , , , , ,
