Greenpeace say iPhone is not green

by David Allen on Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

Apparently Apple is a green company and is way ahead of any of the company’s rivals. Well exactly according to Mr Jobs who works at Apple, he said:

“Apple is ahead of, or will soon be ahead of, most of its competitors on environmental issues.”

On the other hand, the guys at Greenpeace state:

“Analysis revealed that the iPhone contains toxic brominated compounds (indicating the presence of brominated flame retardants (BFRs)) and hazardous PVC.” The findings are detailed in the report, “Missed call: the iPhone’s hazardous chemicals”

Who is right? Probably both so we will have to take our choice.
