Handmade Soap at World Market: Asian Black Rice

by Missy on Monday, December 17th, 2007

My roommate and i went x-mas shopping last week, and we came across one of my fave shops, World Market. They have a small soap section, and in it, i found a black rice handmade soap from an Asian company, called Soap-N-Scent.

They make all their soaps by hand, and all are 100% natural, with a vegetable-based recipe. (no animal by product) They use black rice as a primary ingredient for extra cleansing and mild exfoliation.

I took home with me the black rice bar because of its sexy grey color. The handmade soapbar has a fruity scent, but like an exotic premium one. The bar lathers well and rinses clean. The black rice being small and fine makes for a gentle rub, the soap also comes with a freebie skinny loofah which serves as a soap dish.

Retails for $5.99, but the mild divine scent is well worth the extra few bucks.
