Have You Got A Revolutionary Green Energy Idea?
If you have a revolutionary green energy idea, you need to take a look at the contest that Google is having. Backdrop story? Google recently celebrated their 10 year company anniversary, and to celebrate they are giving away millions of dollars. (You know pocket money. Because you know they are like mega successful)
All kidding aside, this project is definitely going to harvest some pretty spectacular ideas from great minds, who un-surprisingly are going to come up with majorly innovative works. The team at Google will be picking 100 of the best ideas, then voting will take place to narrow it down to the 20 best, and then Google will narrow it down some more, and pick the 5 best.
The premise is for you to submit your idea from one of seven categories, which i list below.
- Community: How can we help connect people, build communities and protect unique cultures?
- Opportunity: How can we help people better provide for themselves and their families?
- Energy: How can we help move the world toward safe, clean, inexpensive energy?
- Environment: How can we help promote a cleaner and more sustainable global ecosystem?
- Health: How can we help individuals lead longer, healthier lives?
- Education: How can we help more people get more access to better education?
- Shelter: How can we help ensure that everyone has a safe place to live?
- Everything else: Sometimes the best ideas don’t fit into any category at all.
The deadline to submit your green energy idea is October 20, 2008. Done via the Project 10 website, the site created specifically for this contest.
Be sure to mention in the application you found out about Project 10, through Keetsa. This actually reminds of the Oprah summer reality tv show, in which the winner was determined by who gave the most. And coincidentally this is the motto of Project 10.
Good luck.
