Now one can go out and take the Hybrid Insight for a test drive and or buy one. Let’s take a look below at some of its cooler features and eco friendly technology.

Honda Insight Features And Eco Friendly Technology

Engine #2: lightweight ultra-thin 13 horsepower Honda IMA electric motor

Hybrid Battery: Flat nickel-metal-hydride battery pack

Dual Airbags: Yes

From recent reviews posted on reputable sites such as HybridCars.com and USA Today i gather the following:

The Honda Insight is smaller than the Prius, more agile than the Prius, and cheaper than the Prius. However the Prius still is the leader in MPG in the sedan class of vehicles. But what the Insight lacks in the MPG department, it makes up for in price and “driveability”. Setting aside comparisons for a minute, the Insight does deliver an impressive 40/43 mpg, which is still better than most cars on the road.

The Insight Hybrid is definitely a competitor to the Toyota Prius and makes for an interesting showdown in the exciting hybrid vehicle market.

We look forward to continued development from both Toyota and Honda.
