How Do You Feel About Part-Time Vegetarianism?
There is a new online article in Newsweek that asserts that part-time vegetarians (otherwise known as flexitarians) are on the rise.
The article goes on to explain that many (hard core vegetarians and vegans) object to this new practice, calling it not enough. I am a vegetarian and i am happy to read that flexitarians are on the rise, that more people are incorporating meatless meals in their diet.
Whether going flexitarian is done for health reasons, economic reasons, animal-loving reasons, or the environment, it is a step in the right direction. Instead of asking whether it is enough or not? Let’s at least applaud the effort and the enlightenment.
There are many individuals who will never even consider it, so the fact that some people are not only considering it, but actually doing something about it, is something that IMHO should be encouraged and applauded.
Reader Question
What do you think of those who go meatless several days a week? And the term flexitarian?
