How do you teach Kids About the Environment? How about Video Games
Games For Change, facilitates the building and promoting of video games that carry an underlying message of social change. They have collaborated with various companies and have managed to produce fun green video games for the youngest generation.
The one i am profiling is Adventure Ecology, a game in which the ultimate enemy is Global Warming and the climate fighting heroes are cool Dash and his buddy Bay. They fight the dirty forces with characters like (digg this) Agent Waste, Professor Ignorance, and Miss Lies. Along the way, the kids are presented with virtual missions and have to come up with creative ways to help the planet.
This is a neat and fun way to introduce the cause and effect model to kids and get them thinking about Mother Earth, what they can do and how they can help to turn a negative into a positive when it comes to all things about the environment.
