Below are 4 easy and quick tips on how to green up your morning brew.

  • The next time you buy coffee, look for coffee which is Rainforest Alliance Certified. This indicates it was grown beneath natural shade cover and used little to no chemicals.
  • Consider buying organic coffee. This makes a statement that you’re opposed to the use of chemical pesticides on coffee crops, since organic coffee was grown without such chemicals.
  • Stop using disposable coffee cups. Instead, get a reusable mug and use it. Some coffeehouses will even give you a FREE REFILL for being kind to the planet. So it pays to find out if you’re fave coffee shop has such special offer.
  • Use recycled or reusable coffee filters—and save a tree in the process.
