3 Simple Ways To Green Your gPhone

by Missy on Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

Google decided to give Apple abit of competition and came out with the gPhone. A sleek (and acclaimed) smartphone on the equally popular 3G network.

But how do we green up this small piece of tech wizardry? Below 3 simple ideas to start with.

How To Green Your gPhone

1. gPhone users can track their carbon footprint via a neat app called Ecorio. Users review the car trips that they have recently made and see if there’s anything that they can do to reduce their carbon output. This is a totally free app (a/k/a g1 update) you download to your gPhone and is a pretty cool app.

2. Charge the gPhone using a solar powered charger. These are available in most popular mobile phone retailers or online. Try Amazon.

3. Even though the gPhone is quite new, i’m sure there are people out there who have already traded up to a newer phone. Make sure to recycle or give away to charity if you don’t plan to use your gPhone anymore. In fact i’m sure you could get a pretty penny for it, if you sold it. For this, try eBay.
