How To Lessen Your Carbon Footprint While Blogging!
Excellent article on a site aimed at bloggers on how to reduce carbon footprint while we slave away on the computer blogging.
There are numerous things we can do to improve or reduce our impact on Earth’s precious resources. Some are highlighted for you below.
1. Unplug your computer and other blogging equipment nightly. They provide a good tip at the end of the paragraph which simply states that you can use a power strip and simply turn that off, instead of unplugging your pc, monitor, printer, etc.
2. Use A Laptop computer. These are more energy efficient than desktops, they are lighter and nowadays are fully featured and well configured enough to use alone. Do away with the bulky and energy sapping desktop in 2009.
3. Use an LCD Monitor instead of CRT. Similar to the laptop equation, these are more energy efficient and usually smaller and lighter. Not too mention prices have really come down on LCD monitors, so these are worth a recent look. Try a price comparison engine like Pricegrabber or Shopzilla to snag a fab deal.
