Hybrid Cars Ranked First in Eco-Fuel Technologies
BusinessCar.co.uk recently conducted a study as to which eco-fuel technologies were the best. They judged emissions — not just carbon dioxide — fuel economy, tax benefits, long-term viability, accessibility and availability.
Here’s a quick run-down of the list here! To read about the reasoning behind each choice, you’ll have to check out their article here.
#10 — GTL (Gas to Liquid)
This is a diesel that is made out of natural gas.
#9 — LPG
LPG is a byproduct produced in the oil and gas industries, otherwise known as propane and butane.
#8 — Compressed Natural Gas
CNG is a fossil fuel that is fairly gaseous and is made up of mostly methane. It can run engines by itself or in combination with other fuels.
#7 — Modern Petrol
Normal gas, just better!
#6 — Hydrogen Engine
This changes the combustion engine and lets it run on hydrogen.
#5 — Fuel Cells
A cell that takes the energy from a chemical reaction and converts it into electrical energy.
#4 — Biofuels
Fuels made of renewable products like crops, plants and plant waste.
#3 — Electric Cars
An engine that needs to be plugged in. Like your television.
