Hydrogen fill up
It is great to see that there is an effort to proceed with the hydrogen fuel cell powered vehicles, there has been much talk on how clean and how safe it is. Now Honda has announced that it will be competing with the Toyota Prius, or just Prius as it will be known as in a few years time, the Honda FCX will be hitting the streets of the USA sometime in 2008, now that is not a long way off, so it is great that there will be a choice of hydrogen fuel cell cars.
However there does appear to be something that these manufacturers appear to have over looked, that is where are the owners of these cars supposed to fill up? As there appears that there maybe a lack of hydrogen pumps at the service stations, so does this mean that these cars will only be sold in certain areas, available to just certain type of person, or will all service stations begin to provide the fuels needed to keep these cars going?
