Ikea Debuts Solar Powered Desk Lamp
Solar power is everywhere and growing by leaps and bounds in the manufacturing world. Case in point? The new solar powered desk lamp from Swedish home furnishings outlet Ikea.
The desk lamp is powered via rays from the Sun and this is possible via the solar cell base at the bottom which then powers up three AA rechargeable batteries.To get a full four hours from the desk lamp, you would want to leave it by the sun approximately nine or so hours. Not bad for several hours of good light without going on the grid.
The solar powered Ikea desk lamp is stylish and comes in four bright and cheery colors, retails for $19.99 and is available via a local Ikea store, not online.
