In Iceland eco cars park for free

This is the sort of incentive that all cities should be taking up. New parking regulations in the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik. Means that cars that are considered to be eco friendly will be able to park in the center of the capital for free.

It is estimated that the total number cars that will be applicable is only 1,400 this is out of 230,747, which is less than one per cent.

For a car to be considered eco friendly it has to pass the eco test, this means the car must consume less than five liters of fuel per 100 km. Cars that qualify are to be given a special disc that is placed on the inside of the window screen.
