by Brian Yalung on Friday, August 10th, 2007

Replace Incandescent bulbs with CFL Bulbs

Incandescent bulbs have been so far tagged as a green obstacle for the current shift for better energy use and waste management issues today. However, despite these warnings Surya Roshni, an Indian company has still been manufacturing the said bulb to which Greenpeace has been trying to negotiate and convince them to stop the whole manufacturing line. While blockades and protests have been set up to get the company’s attention. Apparently the message being sent is to stop the manufacture of these incandescent bulbs and shift to the ideal CFL bulbs immediately.

While primary addresses were already made by the General Manager of the Kashipur unit, the protest goes on until the shift towards the ideal CFL bulbs has been satisfied.
