Jeans for insulation
No matter from which angle your at it, insulating your home is vital to save money and heat, yet the materials used are not so eco friendly and therefore do not fall in to the green culture, which is a shame.
But never fear there is always a simple solution and they do not get much simpler to this one.
How about insulating your home with your old denim jeans? Its true the good old blue jeans are actually great for insulation purposes, in fact in some cases they are better than the commercial insulation materials that you buy from the stores.
Denim it appears has the same qualities of insulation material, but can keep more heat in and more sound out of your home, in fact there are some insulating materials that are made from the remnants of the denim obtained from the factories where the jeans are made.
Some companies do have drop off centers for people to get rid of their unwanted jeans, so you may already be using denim as insulation without even knowing it.
