John Mayer’s Summer Tour to Be Green

by erin on Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

John Mayer has paired up with environmental non-profit Reverb to bring his fans a more eco-friendly tour this summer.

From the press release:

We’ll be helping offset each show with wind power, fueling the buses and trucks with biodiesel, putting together a “village” in the concourse that consists of environmentally and socially minded non-profits and green sponsor types, and most importantly selling cool offset stickers so you can neutralize the pollution from your drive to and from the show (and win some nice goodies). You’ll be able to learn about renewable energy and alternative fuels, talk to local groups in your area doing good things, register to vote, sample tasty organic treats and much more.

Reverb has done similar initiatives with Dave Matthews Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sheryl Crow, Barenaked Ladies, Avril Lavigne, Jack Johnson.
