Lenovo’s Green Think Pad
Lenovo’s latest notebook is eco-friendly. The new ThinkPad T61p has a 15.4 inch screen, a top roll cover, enhanced wireless capabilities, Nvidia Quadro FX 57OM graphics certified to the open GL graphics GPU standard, an Intel Centrino Pro processor, extended battery life, Linux certification and a quieter cooling system.
On the green side, this new notebook meets the EPA’s Energy Star 4.0 standard.
The company says that these laptops “achieve up to a 70 percent improvement in efficiency over previous generation notebooks with power management features providing customers maximum energy savings up to 47 percent greater than before.”
Two questions: is it actually worth the $1,814 price and what is Lenovo doing about all the e-waste these puppies cause?
