It seems that actor Leo Dicaprio can’t get enough of lean mean green machines.
This time around he’s into the new Fisker Karma eco sports sedan that has some serious power under its green hood. The vehicle which is north of $100, 000 – considerably more than the middle class price of less than $40,000 for the Toyota Prius – has some nice credentials including a bigger engine and much faster speeds than other eco cars on the road today.
The car is considered a 4-dour hybrid sedan which means it’s powered initially by electricity stored in the vehicle and when that runs out, the car runs on regular gas.
As the Daily Mail reports, the heartthrob has purchased the 2012 Fisker Karma, a $100,000 series hybrid supercar. The 2 Liter hybrid engine allows for 0-60 accelerations in under 6 seconds with a top speed of 125 mph. The solar glass roof provides some extra juice to the A123 Systems lithium-ion batteries.
