While these things were never really given much thought, the need of most women for sanitary napkins for most parts of their life is another issue that needs to be addressed. People note them lesser and a lot of these sanitary napkins available in the market today were never really scrutinized properly for green factors in line with the green movements the world is heading into.

With this in question, it is prevalent that at some point, women will be offered green alternatives as far as sanitary napkin utilization is concerned. They just have to be aware of what they are up against when it comes to these said feminine hygiene products.

“The sterile look of feminine hygiene products does not betray the fact that the chlorine dioxide used to whiten them can “theoretically generate dioxins at extremely low levels,” according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Dioxin is 10 times more likely to cause cancer than was believed in 1994, says the EPA, and a lifetime of exposure to tampons, in particular, can mean a significant accumulation of toxins in a woman’s body and many non-cancer effects, including birth defects and child developmental delays. Tampons also can facilitate bacteria growth and cause infection.”

They are not bulky and provide great leakage protection. They are wroth checking out with all the health risks that feminine hygiene products produce it would only make sense to do some research on what goes in or around our bodies.
