Louisville Kentucky Public Library Newburg Goes Green
A new eco friendly library will be gracing the streets of Louisville, Kentucky this fall.
The Newburg Library in Louisville started construction last fall and is already just about fully completed. Some of the eco friendly features of the library include:
- water conservation and collection via a rooftop and rain garden combo
- solar rooftop panels are planned, after opening in the Fall
The 8,000 square foot one story building is going to house all the usual amenities of a traditional library, such as dozens of computers and plenty of study space.
The expected opening date for Newburg Library is in August, when kids return to school.
