The Newburg Library in Louisville started construction last fall and is already just about fully completed. Some of the eco friendly features of the library include:

  • water conservation and collection via a rooftop and rain garden combo
  • solar rooftop panels are planned, after opening in the Fall

The 8,000 square foot one story building is going to house all the usual amenities of a traditional library, such as dozens of computers and plenty of study space.

The expected opening date for Newburg Library is in August, when kids return to school.
