MacBook Air, Green Innovation from Apple
Will Apple ever cease their wondrous innovations? I know, i know, what a terribly dumb question. Its what they do, its what they are all about. Next up is MacBook Air.
Im not a techy, so i wont go into the miraculous technological advances of this laptop. But i can tell you, that it is meant for the next generation, the one that is pretty much 80-100% wireless. It comes with 2Gb of memory, Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, a 80GB hard drive, and 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR built in.
The MacBook Air green features include: mercury-free LCD display screen, recyclable aluminum case, PVC-free circuit boards, EPEAT silver certified (electronics equivalent to Energy Star) and less packaging.
From the source:
“MacBook Air is ultrathin, ultraportable, and ultra unlike anything else. But you don’t lose inches and pounds overnight. It’s the result of rethinking conventions. Of multiple wireless innovations. And of breakthrough design. With MacBook Air, mobile computing suddenly has a new standard”.

It is a big challenge to follow up the iPod and iPhone. The Macbook Air has possibilities, but the advertising campaign should emphasize much more the “greeness” of the laptop. Perhaps it is not a main selling point, but thin alone may not sell.
