Mark and Spencer to open Eco Stores

The fashionable high street store, Marks and Spencer have begun a green campaign by opening up two new eco friendly stores, one in Glasgow and the other in Galashiels. Both stores have been fitted with their own wind turbines, which will obviously cut back on their CO2 emissions.

The store also has rainwater collection features, which is used throughout the stores as non drinking water. The stores have also been fitted with energy efficient lighting.

So what is this going to do for consumers? Not much! But it is a personal choice, buy from a green store or not.

Would love to see a mom and pop do this in the United States. There has to be something link this. Maybe in Berkley, CA or Boulder, CO.

The Europeans are so advanced aren’t they!
