More Green Skyscrapers: The Lighthouse
The Lighthouse is a new, green skyscraper which is being planned for construction in Dubai. For its energy needs, the 400 meter building will have three wind turbines and 400 solar panels.
The Atkins designed building is expected to reduce energy consumption by 65% and water consumption by 40%.
This 140,00 sq foot building is expected to to become a working prototype of for sustainable buildings and low carbon development in both urban centers in the Middle East and worldwide.
