New York Opens Eco-Theatre
New York City will opened its first eco-friendly theatre when The Wild Project revives its production of 33 to Nothing on July 25.
The Wild Project is the renovated The Bottle Factory Theatre, a 99 seat venue that now has eco-friendly features like recycled glass tiles, bamboo plywood, low flush toilets, solar panels and energy- efficient glass windows. The bar will be eco-friendly too, with organic beer and wine being served.
33 to Nothing is about “This downtown NYC garage band is on the edge of breaking-up as the lead singer and his boyfriend (also in the band) are, er, breaking-up. With each year that passes that they aren’t rock stars the incessant pull of adulthood becomes harder to ignore. With more axes to grind than grinding the ax is it even worth staying together?”
It stars John Good, Amanda Gruss, Grant Varjas, Ken Forman and Preston Clarke.
Tickets are $45 and can be purchased by calling (212) 352-3101.
