Oprah Is PETA’s Person Of The Year
PETA has just announced that Chicago talk show queen Oprah has been given the honor of “Person Of The Year”.
For all that she has accomplished this past year in the name of animal rights, PETA felt she was worthy of the title this year. As some of you may already know Oprah aired numerous shows this year which focused on animal issues, one was a puppy mill show in whe exposed the industry for what it truly is. A cruel and unforgiving trade towards puppies.
Then on another episode on her talk show she discusses the terribly conditions that many pigs, cows, and other animals face in factory farms.
These two shows alone garnered attention and exposure to animal rights issues, and millions of people seen or heard the message, as she has a massive and global audience. What really brought about loads of attention was also the show she aired a few months ago in which she announced she would go vegan…..for 30 days. She did and Oprah say’s she learned alot about food during this time.
We would like to congratulate Oprah for winning “Person Of The Year” from PETA.
