Oregon To Offer Electronic Recycling For Free

by Missy on Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

On January 1st the state of Oregon will begin its first ever free statewide electronics recycling program.

The recycling program is a new Oregon eco initiative to help consumers properly dispose of their used televisions computers and monitors. The program will go by the name of Oregon E-cycles and is set to begin on January 1st.

You will be able to drop off your used electronic equipment at various city sites, which you can find on the Oregon E-cycles site. This is open to all residents within the area and is 100% free. Collection sites have not yet been reveled to the general public, but will be on January 1st, 2009. Check the site for details.

Glad to see so many cities and states helping to make it easier to recycle big clunky toxic equipment.
