Simple, it takes alot less water (280 gallons of water less) and land (12 to 50 square feet of land less) to grow peanuts than it does livestock, according to the PB&J Campaign. It’s simple eco math.

Also it is healthy food for you, even though peanut butter has a high amount of fat, it is the good kind. Yes, some types of fat are good for you, the bad ones are trans fats. Which peanut butter is free of. Sports nutritionists advise smartly to stick to the 2 tablespoon rule.

So make yourself a PB&J sandwich for lunch tommorrow and then again on Wednesday, and help save the planet, one sandwich at a time.
