Pillows and cushions made from old clothes

by David Allen on Friday, May 30th, 2008

This is a really novel way of recycling older clothes which have either outlived their usefulness or just do not fit anymore for whatever reason that may be.

The clothing has been designed by Ximena Orozco, who has some really great design lines covering baby clothes and accessories, bags and soft furnishings, like these cushions, which have been design to replace the man in your life!

I'm trying to find out where to donate old clothes that are not good enough for a thrift shop or Good Will type of place. For instance, pants very worn where wallet was in back pocket, or fabric very worn at the cuff, etc. Can these items be used for mattresses/pillows/cushions and where in the NW suburbs of Chicago can I take them?
