Plastic Bags Turned into Eco-Friendly Purses

by Brian Yalung on Sunday, September 13th, 2009

Blue Sky Bags

Eco-fashion has strange ways of getting out the creativity in us and it seems that one woman turned plastic bags into trendy eco-friendly purses. Thanks to her ingenuity, Mandy Pleasants has turned plastic bags into colorful, environmental-friendly hand-woven purses. All of this led to a business called Blue Sky Bags.

As we know, plastic bags are normally thrown away after use. But now, it seems that Mandy has solicited used plastic bags and has found something to do with them. And her family and friends are the main donors, giving her their used plastic bags so that something creative and useful can come out of them.

And the price? Well these plastic bags retail between $100 to $125 while a little girl’s bag would cost about $75. You can check out her creations at her blog.
