Pope in Trouble with Anti Fur Protestors
It must be difficult for someone like the Pope who has to live by traditions and rules, especially when he is being put under the spotlight for simply wearing the robes of office. These are sometimes trimmed with fur, which naturally is going to be real fur.
This has caused anti fur campaigners to launch an online petition appealing to the Pope not to wear his fur trimmed robes. The Italian Association for Defence of Animals and the Environment has managed to attract 2,260 signatures so far, so they do have some support in their campaign.
