Quicksilver Eco-friendly Watch

by Brian Yalung on Sunday, August 24th, 2008

Here is a watch that is claimed to be eco-friendly but tough on the pocket. Perhaps a bit too pricey for the normal consumer, the Quicksilver Eco-friendly watch can be a good addition to the collection of anyone in the line of millionaires these days.

But while that is an issue, the eco-friendly make of this watch is something that has not been clearly defined. This timepiece is said to be worth $500 and if you are looking on how eco-friendly this is, one thing that is certain that the packaging is 86% eco-friendly.

Quiksilver does this by using sea shipping rather than airplanes and also optimized the watch’s packaging which has saved 30% of CO2 emissions. The hand-built watch itself is constructed from wood, stainless steel, aluminum, mineral glass and features a 27 jewel automatic movement – all of which is 86% recyclable. Available in a limited run of 1000 pieces.
