Quorn growing in popularity
Quorn products are starting to dominate supermarket shelves according to VEGA news. Sales have risen by 15% and approx 1 in 5 households are buying these meat alternatives regularly. The popularity of such products has meant huge profits (nearly double) for the manufacturers and more choice for vegetarians in supermarkets.
Quorn is a meat alternative and a protein source for vegetarians, but as this article points out, non-vegetarians are becoming big purchasers of this food item as an alternative to meat and because it is easy on the waist. Quorn line of frozen meat-free products have been around Europe since 1985, and only recently since 2002, were introduced to U.S. households.

I bought into this right after i became a Vegan but i think i had some sort of allergic reaction to it because it’s a fungus grown in large Vats?? I’ll just stick to eating whole foods in their natural state instead.
