These are original records that have been shaped and placed onto a wood base, which gives it strength and durability.

Apparently you aren’t aware that there a few hundred people out here who are still big collectors of record albums — and actually put them on a turntable to play!! Of course, after someone has shaped it into a bowl, it is of no use anymore to the collector. It’s not too hard to imagine the anguish of a collector who happens onto this page, only to find out that a rare, rare copy of an album that he has been looking for, for years, has been “recycled”!! I can only hope that these folks are using up the many many copies of some of the more common Percy Faith albums and not a rare copy of a Roy Orbison album!!!
