Apparently you aren't aware that there a few hundred people out here who are still big collectors of record albums -- and actually put them on a turntable to play!! Of course, after someone has shaped it into a bowl, it is of no use anymore to the collector. It's not too hard to imagine the anguish of a collector who happens onto this page, only to find out that a rare, rare copy of an album that he has been looking for, for years, has been "recycled"!! I can only hope that these folks are using up the many many copies of some of the more common Percy Faith albums and not a rare copy of a Roy Orbison album!!!
  • The idea here is to re-use what is no longer being used, or no longer works. To re-purpose it. Are people taking good records and making bowls or bracelets out of them? Maybe, but i doubt it. I would say most good vinyl records are owned by collectors. But i hear ya!
  • By the way, are you a record collector?
