Renasant Bank Goes Green: Introduces eStatements
One way that banks can go green is to introduce eStatements. By introducing paperless statements, trees water and energy are conserved. Not too mention the costs (to the bank) associated with shipping monthly paper bank statements.
Many banks have already jumped on this bandwagon, and it is always good to read of yet another one that has incorporated eStatements. The latest one to do so, is my local bank, Renasant.
Not only has Renasant Bank added eStatements to their eco friendly initiatives, but they have partnered up with The Arbor Day Foundation to donate a tree when you enroll for paperless statements.
If you are currently banking with Renasant, you can enroll, by visiting www.renasantbank.com and clicking on the accounts tab. Then follow the instrcution for sign up. That’s it.
It is 100% free to sign up for Renasant Bank eStatements, and brings you that much closer to the planet-friendly members only club.
P.S. Hopefully Renasant will still be around after the current economic crisis we Americans find ourselves in, in order to avail of such green iniatives. As reported on CNN, and online on Yahoo News, the 700 billion dollar bail out plan did NOT pass Congress. ????
