The fight against river pollution is waring. The authorities have to contend with companies and individuals who think that disposing of waste in a river is ok to do. The problem is that all of the rivers cannot be monitored all of the time, until now that is.

 

Robotic Fish Sniff Out Pollution

 

The university of Essex have come up with robotic fish, they swim up and down the rivers while their sensors will check for pollutants, relay the results by using an on board Wi-Fi system and they navigate the rivers using GPS. At the end of the day, the fish will return to base to deliver results and a recharge of its batteries.
