Run Hard. Thread Lightly.
Cool new eco company specializes in running gear made from recycled plastic bottles.
In Arlington a new start up is hoping to grab runners by their eco ankles and infuse a new green aesthetic. Jeremy Litchfield, an avid runner, founded the company after out on a run one day, he had dyes running down his sweaty body and wondered what on earth was getting into his blod stream.
After research he found out that all sorts of chemicals are on most polyester performance clothing and decided to do something about it. He created Atayne Sportswear to fill this need for himself and the gobs of runners who are seeking a healthier clothing alternative. The runners clothing is all made using recycled plastic bottles and many of its features make for a less toxic experience.
Head to the Atayne website for more details on the US made recycled running sportswear. Oh and the headline behind this post is the motto of Atayne – Run Hard. Thread Lightly. Perfect if you ask me.
